Born in Germany, raised in France, Sheila Single studied fashion design at Studio Berçot in Paris.
After her graduation she became design assistant for Sonia Rykiel and Christian Lacroix.
Her career then evolved naturally into fashion stylism for magazines. She learned while assisting Marie-Amélie Sauvé at French Vogue. Soon after she became contributor for Purple Fashion, followed by Ten +, I-D, Vogue China, Vogue India. Lately her work was published in Italian Vogue, Russian Vogue, Man About Town, Harper's

Sheila works with photographers Paolo Roversi, Camille Vivier, Viviane Sassen, Karl Lagerfeld, William Klein, Serge Leblon, Sharif Hamza and Ellen Von Unwerth with film Director Karina Taïra, consulted for Anthony Vaccarello's Spring Summer 2011show and is consultant to Iris Van Herpen and Corrado de Biase..
