Gabrielle Greiss is a Fashion designer and artistic director. She was born in Munich and since graduating from Central Saint Martins MA, has worked and lived in Paris.
Gabrielle has a special flair for understanding both the creative sides of her work and the practical requirements of a brand, her unique artistic vision, together with her instinctive knowledge of what women want is a rare combination. This has been proven by her ability to reinvent a companies image with retail success.
Shortly after graduation, Gabrielle began working for Martine Sitbon in Paris. She became Martine’s main designer over the following eight years, where she designed both the mens and women’s collections, and worked on all creative aspects within the company, including styling the runway shows and creative input on the ad campaigns.
After this very rewarding collaboration, combining both design and image work, Gabrielle moved on to A.P.C. where she also designed the mens and women’s collections, styled the

fashion shows and worked on advertising campaigns as they raised the companys profile.
During this time, Gabrielle also worked as a stylist for magazines ‘Dazed & Confused’, ‘Rebel’, ‘Mixte’, ‘AnOther’, ‘Zoo’ amongst others, with photographers Ellen Von Unwerth, Serge Leblon, Cedric Buchet, Eric Nehr, Vanina Sorrenti and Craig McDean, as well as a stylist and consultant for fashion shows and advertisings Anna Mollinari and as a design consultant for houses Lanvin and Rykiel.
A successful collaboration with Sonia Rykiel, led to the position of the design Director and later Creative Director of the house, where she took control of all the design and image aspects of the brand and made her first debut on the runway, hand in hand with Sonia.
After 12 seasons working for the house Sonia Rykiel, Gabrielle took the position at Chloe, as the artistic director of the second line ’See By’, while also collaborating with Alber Elbaz at Lanvin. In summer 2011 Gabrielle launched her own collection of 20 dresses which was well received by both international press and buyers.
